Okay, another Tetris clone on the market (yawn). Just what the gamers
need today. We've played Pentix, we've played Tetriller, we've played Columns. Boring.
Welltris gave the game third dimension, but it was not enough in the long run. The
original Tetris cannot be beaten, that's for sure. Why bother with clones?
Fact is, WildSnake is not just your another average Tetris clone. It
has its own unique twist. Two of them, to be precise. The pieces falling into the well
("the snakes") are free-forming; which means they take new forms upon hitting
the bottom. Guessing the form is one half of the winning strategy. Moreover, when you make
several pieces disappear from the well, the adjoining pieces rearrange themselves in
almost unpredictable way. Which leads to lots of unpleasant complications for the player.
Does it still sound like your average Tetris clone? Maybe, but it
certainly doesn't play like one.
